Listed below are GRRA dogs that are currently being treated for heartworms and are not yet available.  A dog undergoing treatment of heartworms requires extremely restricted activity and for that reason, we have not yet been able to perform an evaluation of the dog and are unable to provide any information.  Please do not request information about the dog as none is available.  No waiting list is available for any of the dogs listed and no adoption application can be placed on him/her until the date he/she becomes available which we also do not know.

Heartworm disease is almost 100% preventable in dogs and cats.  There are several FDA-approved heartworm preventives available in a variety of formulations.  Your veterinarian can recommend the best method of prevention based upon your pet's risk factors and lifestyle.
