Today marks one month since we became the proud adoptive parents of Lainey and Gus! When we initially contacted GRRA, we were hoping to find a pair of Goldens to adopt together, if possible. After carefully watching the website for a few weeks, we were able to attend the March Adoption Day event. Much to our delight, we were introduced to Lainey and Gus who were from the same home, and the foster parent was hoping to keep the two dogs together...it seemed like it was meant to be!

The transition has been remarkably easy, at least partly because these two friends have been able to adjust to their new home together. They love playing in the back yard and are always excited to take walks on the cart paths! Lainey's favorite activities include playing fetch and swimming in the pool, while Gus enjoys searching for items to retrieve, relaxing in the shade, and playing with Lainey. Gus is also very interested in our cat, Tina, but fortunately, everyone gets along fine, and we have become one big, happy family!

We are truly grateful to GRRA for Lainey and Gus, and we wish you continued success in your efforts to give Retrievers happy forever homes!
