Bandit is looking for his special home and his special Human.

February Update:

Over the past 6 weeks, Bandit has participated in physiotherapy with the water treadmill and cold laser treatment. We are working on building up his muscle in his left leg, and he is doing amazing.  He has learned how to bunny hop with his rear legs and embraces every moment of the day!

He is a very happy, loving boy who lives to follow his human around.  He has a huge zest for life and is such a well-behaved boy. He is currently in his foster home, which he shares with three female Goldens and loves to engage.  He is potty trained and just needs his forever human to have a carpeted/rugged area for him and a flat backyard.

His foster says he is such an amazing, loving dog and really would flourish with someone who is home some of the time, but he is also happy to curl up in his bed and take naps or keep you company in the yard.

January Update:

We were contacted about Bandit Flash by a vet tech at one of the vets we use.  She had found him and the shelters were full and were not accepting any other dogs.  He did his "stray hold" and was surrendered to us when no one came looking for him.  

 

Putting into words how emaciated this dog is/was is not something we can accurately do.  He's majorly underweight, has no use of his back left leg, and the back right leg has major muscle loss.  He can barely support himself to use the bathroom, walking is nearly completely out of the question.  Still, he tries.  Estimated at 3-5yrs old, he has the will to live and the perseverance to survive however long he's been on the streets.  Bandit Flash was found severely matted, smelly, starving, and in desperate need of a warm place to stay.  We have taken this sweet guy into our care and are working on getting him the best vet care we can.  But this comes with a hefty price tag.  His mobility although compromised greatly, has not compromised his spirit.  Bandit Flash is sweet, loving, and brave. Please help us help Bandit Flash.
