Robert Quinton

Professional Experience:
Robert is a happily retired banking executive who spent the last 24 years of his career with Truist Bank (FKA BB&T), at which he held several leadership roles. He started his professional career with the US Treasury Department as a National Banking Examiner. He was a Commercial Banker from the late 1980’s until he started his role as BB&T’s Credit Manager for Small Business Guaranteed Lending Programs. Robert has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina in Finance and a master’s degree (MBA) from Old Dominion University.
Robert has lived in Atlanta for 37 years. He grew up in Miami, Florida. Robert and his wife Pattie live in Brookhaven with their two 11-year-old adopted labrador retrievers.
Dog Experience and Other Volunteer Experience:
Robert has been a volunteer with GRRA since January 2024 and serves as an Adoption Coordinator, Home Check Coordinator, and Intake Transport Coordinator. Robert is a very active volunteer as he works extensively with SCORE, a volunteer group sponsored by the US Small Business Administration, that helps mentor small business owners. He also works with AARP teaching Driver Safety courses, Junior Achievement to help children better understand how to budget and save money and finally has been a financial counselor with Habitat for Humanity Atlanta.
